Reflection- Hardball Tactics

Hardball tactics are used to pressure negotiators to do things, or sway opinions, in ways they would not otherwise do. Hardball tactics do not always work, but they work best when they are used against poorly prepared negotiators.

In a short reflection essay, explain which hardball tactics you are most likely to use when facing a difficult situation in which you have previously sought something from someone else and they were unwilling to meet your expectations. Explain why you used those tactics and what the outcome of your experience has been.

Now that you have read more about these tactics, how might you change your approach next time you are faced with a similar situation?
