To create your leadership skills, you require to first describe what leadership means to you and which behaviors go hand in hand with definition of leadership. Recognize admired leader as per your definition of leadership, and behaviors of this leader that you would like to emulate. This will aid you move ahead with leadership development plan.

Tasks:

Create a personal definition of leadership and justify same.

Recognize the admired leader from any sphere of life. Describe why do you admire this leader? prepare the characteristics of the admired leader which you would like to emulate.

Based on the definition of personal leadership and characteristics of admired leader, find out the five main leadership behaviors which you will adopt to become the effective leader and positively impact members of the organization. Give reasons for choosing these behaviors.

Additionally, prepare the steps which you will take to adopt these leadership behaviors and date by which you will be able to adopt these behaviors.
