Question 1: Will a new startup company have the track record or credit history to be one of a bank's "best" customers and be able to borrow at the prime rate or at a higher rate with a spread or points tacked on to the prime rate?

Question 2: If the owner of your course project startup company at the end of the day were not able to borrow (or borrow enough) from a bank to cover the initial investment needed to get through the grand opening, when what are some other realistic options to obtain funding?
