1. Think about a time when you were disappointed or failed at something. What helped you to overcome it? Did you learn from it? Write a reflective response of approximately 500 words. This is designed to be a chance for you to practice reflective writing.

2. Writing Scenario:

It's 7am and you have a temperature and have been up most of the night vomiting. You are unable to go to work today. Write an email to your boss (Lisa Smith).

• Think about the formality and how much detail she needs to know

• Think about GROWS principle

• Use correct salutation and signoff
