The scenario:

You are sitting in the Student Center, enjoying a medium lour and talking with a student who is majoring in Business Administration (and who selected not to take INMGT 400). The student says to you, "I just don't get it Maslow's motivational theory clearly explains that security is the second most basic motivational force, and I ask you, What provides a sense of security more than a big paycheck? But this Herzberg guy says that wages and pay are de-motivators. Now can I ever be expected to be an effective manager if they won't Let us use financial incentives like increased wages and bonuses to motivate and retain workers?"

Explain the misunderstanding of this future BBA's understanding of these two motivational theories.
