First: You have to start defining the type of problems that your DSS should support in the organization. Everything has to be contextualized

You need to describe the components of Decision Support System in your organization (Figure 1). At the end you need define how these components will be part of the DSS/BI system in your organization

Second: you need to connect data with the user's needs/problems to solve. You need to observe the type of data required and how this data will be used (Figures 2 and 3)
