4. Describe the plate movements along each of the three different types of plate boundaries.

Divergent Boundaries or spreading ridges, occur where plates are separting and new oceanic lithosphere is forming.

Transform Boundaries occur along fractures in the seafloor known as transform faults where plates slide laterally past one another roughly parallel to the direction of plate movement.

Covergent Boundaries occur when two plates collide and the leading edge of one plates and eventally incorporated into the asthenosphere.

5. How does convection within Earth's mantle drive plate tectonics?
