Question:

In this activity, you will complete a small research exercise of what people with whom you have professional contact feel about your personal communication skills. This will allow you to work on improving them.

How the activity should be resolved?

The success of the activity will depend on the following sequence:

Complete the course material paying particular attention to the indicators of active listening, non-verbal communication and question formulation.

Being able to summarise these skills to a number of persons whom you will research for feedback on your own skills.

Your ability to identify three people with whom you have close contact, preferably professionally but a close personal acquaintance may be admitted.

You ask these three people to give you an honest opinion or feedback on three questions:

In my way of communicating and in particular as regards my skills as regards listening, non-verbal communication and the way I ask questions, What should I stop doing? What should I do more of? What should I start doing? in order to better communicate.

Finally, you complete the exercise by evaluating the feedback you have received from these three people (whose relationship with you, you should identify. Were you surprised? Do you agree? Can you see the advantages of their recommendations?
