Question: You have to make a blog in tumbler. the topic is health and fitness.

DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR SITE'S URL!!

VISUAL DESIGN

The visual design is about how you developed the visual look of your site. Some things you should include here are:

- which theme you chose, and why
- what elements build towards the visual design - images, colours, fonts, icons, for example
- how your site's visual style relates to your audience - discuss how your choice of colour and other decorations helps to define/reinforce your topic and theme for the audience.

We want to see that your choices were based on careful thought and research. So, tell us how you came up with your visual style, walk us through the thinking and steps you took. For example, did you research other blogs or web sites to get inspiration? Did you do Google image searches to help come up with visual elements consistent with your audience? Did you use any other resources?

If you have brought in any knowledge you have of colour theory, or composition, you should discuss that here, too.

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

Your content is the stuff that your site will contain that will be bringing people in. It will generally be either text, image or video, or most likely a combination of all three. In this section you should write about:

- the amount of content (words, videos, how many posts, etc.) and regularity of updates you will be aiming to make and why this is a good target (think about your audience and topic)

- roughly how long your content will be, and why they'll be that length (again, think about your audience and topic)

- what kinds of content you'll be aiming to produce (image, video, text, a mixture) and why this is appropriate to the audience

- what sort of language or style you'll be trying to create through the content

You want your site to project a personality, and some of this comes through your visual style, but mostly it is defined by the content. Even a site that is image heavy should be looking to have some text so that it's not just a fairly impersonal photo gallery.

When writing, try to take on a persona and consider your audience. Any paragraph of text can be written in different ways, and each different approach speaks to a different audience. Are you using short sentences, or longer ones? What kind of vocabulary are you using? Are you being formal or colloquial?

If your content is going to be largely image-based, then think about the style of the images you are making. Images have a voice, too, and you want to keep that style consistent in your site.

SEO AND PROMOTION

SEO is search engine optimisation. In this section, we want to know how you plan to promote your site prior to its launch, and then how you're going to keep this up after it's running.

Some things to write about here include:
- what are the search terms you are going to be targeting and how competitive are these terms?
- how are you going to improve your google search rank?
- what strategies are you going to use to promote your site?

Use as much data as you can to support your arguments here. For example, you can create an Adwords account to find out how much competition there is for certain search terms. Do some research about this - there are dozens of web pages out there with advice (not all of it good!) about how to improve your SEO. See if you can sort the wheat from the chaff...

Don't forget to do other research, too. You cannot be expected to promote your site effectively without doing some reading on the topic. There are thousands of web pages that describe how to optimise content for SEO and which discuss how to promote a blog or web site. Review some of these, think about how you can apply these to your site, and then write about what you plan to do.
