Question: Introduction: In this section, briefly describe the event that you encountered (or observed) that made you decide to write your paper on this topic. Then, in a few sentences explain the purpose and general scope of your paper. The purpose should include: (a) to provide a brief background of research and theory on the topic; (b) to illustrate the topic by reviewing three different journal articles (research reports), each of which represent a different social science; and (c) to provide an integrative summary.

Background: In this section, provide a brief overview of the the research or theory relating to this topic. It is fine to utilize the Handbook of Homelessness for this purpose and, if you do, then cite it in the text and include it as one of your references.

Illustration of the Topic: Introduce this section by briefly explaining that you will illustrate the topic by reviewing three different journal articles (research reports), each of which represent a different social science.

Psychology: In your own words, briefly review the article that you obtained.

Sociology: In your own words, briefly review the article that you obtained.

Human Rights: In your own words, briefly review the article that you obtained.

Integrative Summary: In your integrative summary, you should attempt to show how the research from the different social sciences complement one another in illustrating or explaining the problem that you are addressing in the paper. In your attempt to integrate, you should make use of ecological models that we have covered in this course, as well as associated principles (i.e., principle of reciprocal determinism, principle of equifinality, principle of multifinality, and so on).
