Question: INSTRUCTIONS: Elaborate the second simulation by answering the following instruction(s) (4~6 Pages / Times New Roman, 10 / *double spaced not necessary for nonessay questions*)

Assignment Directions: 1. This second simulation involves making decisions in the first person and seeing results on your adult life. Although this requires time and thought, it is not as intensive as the first simulation. As such, it is worth 60 points. You will be graded on your submission through Safe Assign of your responses to questions found in Appendix B.

Appendix B: My Virtual Life Simulation 1

In the second simulation, you will make first person decisions and see the impact of those decisions on your simulated future self over time. First, complete the adult simulation. Second, answer the questions below and submit your responses in a word document through Safe Assign.

1. Some of the best predictors of successful aging are an individual's general negativity towards life, as well as the sense of control over one's ability to adapt to life's events, whether expected or not expected. Looking back over your simulated adult life, what sorts of experiences could have contributed to successful aging, and which could have put you at risk for poor transition through the final stages of life? Be sure to relate these experiences and risk factors to information from the textbook.

2. Compare and contrast your simulated virtual life to experiences you have already had as an adult. Describe some of the similarities and differences. After completing this course and the simulation, did you learn any new information that might impact future decisions you make?

3. What model would you use to describe your coping with death and dying? Use your textbook to identify the model and describe how the stages you confront might be played out in your late adult years. Also, comment on previous experiences in your life (childhood, adolescence, or early adulthood) which might also contribute to your response.

4. During the virtual simulation, describe how your social networks including peers and family changed over time. Was this consistent with the typical process described in the textbook? Why or why not?

5. During the virtual simulation, describe any physical changes that occurred. Was this consistent with the typical process described in the textbook? Why or why not?

6. How did the decisions you made for the adult earlier in their life affect them later in their life? Specifically, identify 2 decisions made in the earlier adult years and explain how they impact your adult years in the virtual simulation.
