- Write a 7-10 page argument paper in which you analyze a text (or texts) that we have read this semester. You should start with a research question that you have a strong interest in and then use this question to generate the relevant sources of literary criticism and theory, to identify illuminating textual passages from your primary source(s), and to concentrate your argumentative focus. While shaping your essay you might also consider: historical context, narrative strategy, and thematic connections with other works.
