Question: For our 10th grade English class we are doing a yearbook-type project for the novel A Separate Peace by John Knowles. I am done with the yearbook but am not the best of writers and need help with this part of the project.

- "Your project must include a one-page letter. it must be a personal letter either from Gene to Finny or vice versa. Your letter should give brief information regarding the action of the novel. More importantly, your letter should exude who your character is. The audience should be able to understand who the author is as a character simply from reading the letter. To do this, you should know how either Gene or Finny talks, how their mind works, what is important to them, and anything else that would give readers a window into their personalities."

- For those who aren't familiar with A Separate Peace, there are pretty detailed summaries on sparknotes and cliffsnotes. There are also PDF versions of the book scattered across the internet, it shouldn't take long to find one.
