Question: Each student will observe the counselor in the movie "ordinary people", paying close attention to things you might want to know more about if you were to actually meet with him/her. What education or experience do you think the counselor has, do they seem qualified, what is their specialty or demographic group served, is there a specific technique, therapy or style involved in their counseling, what challenges or rewards do you see for the counselor, etc. Each student will be expected to write up a brief summary (1 page) of their observations and impressions. The summary must include the name of the movie, the actor/actress name and character name, and the type of counselor, or counseling setting, they are a part of.
