Question: Conduct a phone, video call, or in-person interview with a manager or training manager (preferably someone in the training department). Ask the manager to explain the role training plays in his or her company, any changes they have observed in how training has been conducted over the last five years, and how they believe it will change in the future. Your report should be no more than two pages in length.

Your grade on the assignment will be based on whether you address the three points in the question prompt:

• The role of training in the organization

• Any changes the manager has observed

• How the manager believes training will change in the future

The topics covered in chapters one and two of the text will provide guidance on the type of information you can expect to receive during your interview and can help you in developing probing questions to gather the information you need to address the three broad topics. Please include an explanation of how you prepared for the interview and a list of questions you developed in the appendix.

I will be considering the detail and quality of your response including your writing, grammar, and report presentation and how well you prepared for the interview. The paper should be double-spaced, no longer than two pages, and turned in as a Microsoft Word document.
