Question: Communication is one of the important process between two or more individuals to express their views, ideas and knowledge in their work-related environment. There different modes of communication are verbal and Non-verbal. The process which uses social media, audio, video applications to communicate with the other person then we call that communication as Verbal communication. I will explain one scenario which I faced today afternoon. I went to a Restaurant today afternoon in my break period. I was standing in a line to order my food. The queue was very long there almost 15 members in front of me. I was the 16th person waiting in the queue. I saw two people talking each other. One was male and other was female. Both individuals were in casuals and looking at the menu for 10 minutes and talking each other very seriously, as I was little far away from them I am not able to hear what they are discussing very seriously. I thought Boy was insisting to take her something which is chosen by him, but the girl was not interested in taking the food ordered by that boy. Then they finally order the food and they went for Dining In. My turn came in and I ordered the food and went for Dining in and sat on the chair which is two tables away from them. In the meanwhile, Again I started observing them. They again started discussion on looking at that menu and then I understood that they are talking about calories of the food that are listed in the menu and ordering accordingly. So, by this action and their facial expressions we can understand what people are discussing each other.
According to Preja (2013), Sometimes we can also misunderstand by the Nonverbal communications which will lead to wrong assumptions between two or more people while stating their views.
