Question: Case Study Response

Select one of the three questions and submit your response to the Instructor:

1. Do you think it is possible to study unconscious behavior, as Freud suggested, empirically? Is there a way we can assess a person's implicit motivation? That is, do you think that thoughts that we are not even aware of can affect behavior?

2. Here is an excerpt from the Narcissism Epidemic website, for this see attached file.

Do you think the younger generation now is more narcissistic than previous generations? Why or why not? Are there simply more ways of acting narcissistic or has narcissism in our society led to having more ways to feel self-important?

3. Think of one event that boosted your self-esteem Now think of another that decreased your self-esteem. Describe each (you don't have to get too personal if you don't want to!) Do you think all people would respond the same way you did to this situation? Do you think the factors that affect self-esteem vary from person to person? Why or why not?
