Question: BIG increase in insurance premiums coming soon!!

This memo is to inform your of cost increases and changes in your medical insurance coverage options. The company has been paying 100 percent of medical care insurance for it's employees and has even absorbed the 10-20 percent annual cost increases to maintain this your benefit.

Even though costs were jacked up last year, we worked diligently with our provider, Blue Cross of Demver, so that we could continue this tradition. Were sorry to tell you that Blue+ has informed us that next year the cost increase for our employees medical coverage will be an outrageous 40 percent per month.

To keep the coverage you now have, your will need to pay a portion of your total coverage, pluss an increase co-pay for office an ER visits.

1. You may now choose to swapout your coverage from the Blue Cross Plus plan to the Blue Cross HMO plan which will be paid for entirely by GCB at no cost to you.

2. You may choose to continue your current enrollment in the Blue Cross Plus PlanBeginning January 1, 20 percent of medical coverage will be deducted monthly from your salary. Dont complain. Your should consider this a deal, because your share will still be less than many companies charge there employees.

3. Next years copay amounts will depend on which plan you choose.

The accompanying brochure describe the details of these new options for medical insurance. It also include detail c0mparisons of costs and benefits for each of the too plans. If you have questions, please call our new Medical Benefits Information line at ext. 3392. For general questions you can logon to the Blue Cross website. You will also find info about health care coverage on our Intranot site just click the medical benefits icom.

If you decide to swap your coverage, you must notify Human Resources during our Open Enrollment period, November 20 to December 1 of this year. Forms to change your enrollment are provided in the accompannying brochure and are available in our corporate headquarters office. If you wanna remain on a Blue+ Plus policy, you do not need to notify us payroll deductions will occur automatically beginning January 1st of next year. Since 1972, Global BusCom has taken pride in providing it's employees with the best medical coverage available. We are miffed that rising costs have now made it a ridiculous burden for the company to continue paying 100 percent of everyone's quality medical coverage.
