Question: ACES Inventory Scores

Complete the ACES Self-Assessment Inventory located in your Week 1 required Learning Activities.

Once you click on the ACES link you will be directed to the "inventory" or self-assessment of your habits, behaviors, attitudes, and stressors. Complete the ACES Self-Assessment Inventory. This should take you between 15-20 minutes. Remember that this is for your personal use, so be sure to answer the items honestly.

After completing the assessment you will receive your scores, which will indicate whether you ranked high, moderate, or low on each of the scales assessed by ACES. Your ACES scores are stored on the ACES site and you will need to refer back to them in future assignments.

Use the chart below to examine your ACES Inventory scores. In the first column, list your two highest scales, two of your moderate scales (choose any two), and your two lowest scales. Complete the table with responses for each scale.

Example: I have always been good at interacting with people, and I think I should apply this skill to take the lead in group projects.

In my work life I make it a point to find out what is happening across departments. To build on this I can take the initiative to propose collaborative meetings across departments to share ideas.

• What are your responsibilities in the learning environment? What are your uncertainties related to your learning experienceand your ability to be successful as a student? How can you mitigate these uncertainties? What campus resources are available to help reduce uncertainty?
