Your Assignment: • To make the cafe as efficient and effective as possible, you want to redesign processes to remove bottlenecks, reduce redundancies, and streamline workflow. Review the Broadway Cafe's As-Is customer ordering process image on the attached file.. Indicate bottlenecks, redundancies and other problems. List using bullet points and describe these issues.
• Make suggestions for a To-Be process model for the Broadway Cafe. Indicate what you would change to correct the problems identified above. Draw the image of what the design of the new space and include it in your document along with word description of your changes. The footprint of the building will not change and plumbing will not be moved. (How to create and include a diagram: draw on paper with dark ink and clear writing. Take a picture with your phone or tablet. The picture is now a jpeg. Transfer that to your computer by whatever means you prefer, such as email, cloud, or what you are used to using. In the word processing program, you will insert the image.)
• You must describe the new process in bullet points: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. Label your diagram to match the words in the bullet pointed steps. Explain each step.
• Your To-Be process model must include technology improvements for the cafe, but will not be limited to technology improvements. Technology is more than using a cash register. Consider technology for customers, employees, and management.
Submit: • A document in Word format. If you create using something other than Word, be sure to save in Word format. You will not submit a separate image. The image must be incorporated into the Word document.
• The document must have a header with your First Last name and the assignment title "Business Process"
• The filename must be your LastNameBusinessProcess
• Correct spelling and grammar is required.
• The paper length is not specified. You write as much as you think you need to complete the assignment.
