Title- premature labor quantitative paper
Respond to the following questions based on your chosen guideline that supports your research topic of interest (mine is preterm labor)
Students are to choose a clinical guideline that supports their selected topic of interest (preterm labor)
Learning pairs will choose their research topic the first week of the course. This is an individual paper and aligns with your quantitative or qualitative research article. The paper should be 2-3 pages not including the title page and the reference page.
Criteria: 1. Locate and evidence-based guideline or practice protocol related to your topic and the identified population.
2. Provide background information related to the topic
a. What is the problem the guideline or practice protocol was designed to address
b. Identify the purpose of the EBG or practice protocol
3. Locate a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed, scholarly articles supporting the EBG or protocol in addition to your quantitative or qualitative article.
4. Summarize the articles (no older than 3-5 years) and include in the summary how the articles support or contradict the guideline.
5. Identify the gaps between the EBG or protocol and the information on your selected topic offered in your textbook Be sure to identify the textbook in appropriate APA formatting. Discuss how these gaps can affect practice.
6. Provide information on how the EBG or protocol relates or does not relate to practice within the clinical setting.
7. Discuss the impact of the EBG or protocol on nursing practice, nursing education and implications for further research.
