Question 4: Be prepared to compare and contrast theology, ritual practice, and understanding and use of sacred texts in Islam and Christianity, as well as how these two faiths have exhibited both innovation and maintenance of tradition over time. Be certain to cite texts from assigned readings and material presented in class in your answer.

Question 5: Be prepared to clearly define post-modernism as discussed in class and in assigned readings, and how fundamentalism and the interaction of religion and popular culture are responses to the social and cultural realities of the current post-modern era. Be certain to cite ERes readings about post-modernism, fundamentalism, and at least ONE (1) form of popular culture in your answer.

Question 6: Be prepared to discuss how you now define "religion," including how your views may have changed since the beginning of the semester. Then, conclude with evidence from TWO (2) religious traditions we have examined to show your definition is accurate in describing those cases.
