Question: 1) After reviewing the course objectives, I realized by accomplishing these objectives it would support my success in management because I will know how to apply critical thinking skills to analyze business situations, I will know the key factors that affect marketing strategies with the company I work for as a Sales Assistant Manager, and I will know the appropriate strategies to apply at each stage of the product life cycle.

If I, as a manager, have not mastered these objectives, I would encounter risks and challenges such as financial losses for the organization due to losing customers or legal issues filed against the company. Managers, including myself, need to know the key factors that affect marketing strategies in order to overcome the affect these factors will have on the company.

(2) There are several companies that exemplifies giving back to the community in which it operates; however, I chose Microsoft because it is the worldwide leader in software, services, devices, and solutions. I wanted to know its contributions to society. Microsoft employees are passionate about giving time, money, and skills to address the issues facing our world. It is part of their culture and how they live their mission. To support their employees' passion for giving, Microsoft matches employee donations of time and money to nonprofit organizations. Since 1983, each October they have a giving campaign that makes a significant annual impact in addition to generous giving year round. In 2017, US employees raised a record breaking $156 million, inclusive of company match, for 19,550 nonprofits and schools around the globe. Monetary donations are matched dollar for dollar up to $15,000 per employee per calendar year. Volunteer time is matched at $25 per hour.

(3) A service I would like to improve upon is staffing agencies. I believe it is currently in the maturity stage of the life cycle because people are actively looking for employment or a better career opportunity. Kelly Services is "A People Company, Staffing the World" since 1946. They "invest in people".

AppleOne, "Hiring made Human", believes in people. Since 1964, they have connected the best people, their talents, skills, career goals, and aspirations with the best companies. They are "Career Gurus".
