Quality planning during new product development is now considered a given, typical activity.  Even with the planning for quality, products often have repeat defects after a product has been re-designed, or a new version has been launched.  The text presents tools and main concepts that should be used and considered in upfront quality planning.

In other words what are the main quality planning activities that should be implemented to minimize defects and poor quality?
