Flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) comprise a few machines with part and device handling devices as like robots, arranged so that this can handle any family of products or parts for that the system has been developed and designed. This system intend to attend greater economies of scope for the manufacturer, the ability of economic production of a few batches of a variety of products or parts along with minimal set up time. Such systems are highly computerised, integrated and automated.
