You are the L & D Director of a Regional Insurance Company in the Southeast U.S. You have offices in Jacksonville, FL, Atlanta, GA, and New Orleans, LA. You have just acquired a competitor with offices in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Mississippi.
The 'business drivers' for the new company are: to build an innovative and collaborative culture; to become an employer of choice in your markets; to introduce at least one new product per year for the next five years; to grow the business at least 10% per year for the next five years by taking time and errors out of claims processing to increase productivity; and to be a socially responsible organization.
Your task is to put together a leadership development program for the company. Your program should include at the minimum: a brief overview of what the curriculum/career development process might look like along with how and why you selected your strategy. When developing the plan, keep in mind that HRD is always under tight budget constraints. If you need to make up some information about the company and management to aid your plan, you have permission to do so. But you cannot change the business drivers.
Since you have just read about e-learning and developing employees, you are to submit an innovative strategy that can be used to develop the company's leaders. This strategy should be comprehensive. It should address how leaders would acquire 'soft skills' (conflict management) as well as more process/procedural skills (writing a budget or a performance review). You will want to consider where and how e-learning might be effective in your leadership development strategy.
You will be evaluated on how your plan aligns with what we have learned in the various topics applicable to this scenario as well as the Essay & Paper Grading Rubric in the Course Content section. Your paper should be between 8-10 pages (double spaced, using 12pt font and before the References page). The reference page should include your research outside of Noe as well (a minimum of 5 academic sources)!!! No need of a title page - just put your name at the top of page 1
