Project Assignment -

Focus/Outcomes: The purpose of the project is fivefold; students should be able to: (1) comprehend the importance of communication on mediating social issues; (2) practice written and oral communication skills; (3) apply collaborative learning strategies to the mid-term project; (4) apply the four learning outcomes to the project itself and (5) work online with a community partner.

Community Partner: meaningful movies

What role did gender and communication play in comprehending the research topic? Moreover, what specific role did the community partner play in assisting your research efforts?

Each group will submit one digital online group presentation. Moreover, each team will interview at least one community partner [phone call, email messages, Facebook posting etc...](one community partner per team). The role of the community partner should be to help the team gain a better understanding of the team's midterm topic. Make sure to align the team's topic to the appropriate community partner. For example, if you are covering media, you need to find a community partner who focuses on media. Finally, divide up the final project questions among team members. For example, if there are three questions for each midterm team, just make sure everyone has been assigned a final project question. I will include a team template in the coming days showcasing how to incorporate the community partner into the team's presentation.
