Project: A Little Cloud v1.3

Project Description: Students will format a Word document based on the short story "A Little Cloud" by James Joyce.

Instructions

1 Start Word. Open the downloaded Word document named A_Little_Cloud.docx.

2 Insert a cover page. List the title as Works from "Dubliners" and the subtitle as A collection of James Joyce short stories.

3 On the first page of text, on the line that reads "A Little Cloud", embed a copy of the photograph Joyce.jpg. The image should aligned to the right relative to the margin with square text wrapping. Size the image to be 2.68-inches high by 2-inches wide.

Caption the photograph as "Figure 1: James Joyce in 1918".

4 Define the following source as a bibliography reference for your document.

Type:Book section
Author: Joyce, James
Title: A Little Cloud
Book Author: Joyce, James
Book Title: Dubliners
Year: 1914
City: London, England
Publisher: Grant Richards Ltd.

5 At the end of the document, force a page break. On the new page, insert a Bibliography-style bibliography using MLA style.

6 Apply the Title formatting style to the first paragraph, which reads "A Little Cloud".

Apply the Subtitle formatting style to the second paragraph, which reads "by James Joyce".

Apply the Quote formatting style to the paragraphs that begin with "Hushed are the winds and still the evening gloom" and "Within this narrow cell reclines her clay."

7 Modify the Normal formatting style to specify Georgia 11-point as the default font.

8 In the right-hand corner of the header on all pages after the cover page, list your last name followed by the page number. The page number should begin at 1 on the first actual page of text (the page after the cover page).

9 Modify the Normal formatting style to ensure 12-point spacing after each paragraph.

10 Use 1.0-inch margins on all sides.
