Prepare a written summary of yourself awareness exercises from 'Your career and you', your career planning reflections from the study guide and include a section on 'your greatest strengths' giving some brief examples of how you demonstrate these strengths (Minimum 1500 words).

Report on informational interview. Include the time, place, organisation, the person interviewed, their role in the organisation, a list of the questions asked and the information you gathered. From this information, and your reflective exercises, explain how your career choice is consistent with your identified skills and interests. Also include career planning reflections from the study guide and a copy of your action plan (Minimum 1500 words).

Professional standard resume. Ensure your resume meets the course standard by checking your document according to the 'Resume critique form'  in your study guide (minimum three pages; maximum five pages).

Statement addressing selection criteria (minimum 600 words and maximum 2000 words).  Must also include a copy of the position description for which the statement is written. Ensure your statement meets the course standard by checking the guidance in your study guide.

Cover letter. Ensure your cover letter meets the course standard by checking your document according to the 'Cover letter critique form' in your study guide (one page only).

Criteria for interview -

Start with an introduction that tells why you are doing the interview and the usefulness of such an activity.

Then set out the time, place, organisation, the person interviewed, how you organised the contact with them, and their role in the organization.

Use the questions your asked as sub-headings and discuss under each the answers the person gave. You may quote the answers if not too long or you can paraphrase.

Summarise the information you gathered. Then answer the three questions:

1. Were you surprised by any of the occupational information? Discuss how and why.

2. Has the information increased your interest in this field? Discuss how and why.

3. What skills or experience do you have already that suit this occupation? Identify with brief examples.

Integrate your career planning reflections from the study guide to determine and discuss any areas of professional development needed to achieve your goal of working in this occupation. These should be included in your action plan.

Provide a concluding paragraph.

Add a copy of your action plan as an appendix to the report using the template provided in week three. This will include what, how, when and resources required for completion.
