How does it all work together?

Throughout this course, you have been given the major components of the revenue cycle, which begins at the time a service is initiated - whether inpatient or outpatient. From this point, insurance information is gathered or not, verification is completed, documentation of services rendered is provided to coding for correct code assignment, followed by the bill submission and payment received by accounts receivable. What kinds of interruptions could occur to cause delays in the revenue cycle and how those can be prevented?
