Do the reading for this week and pay close attention to how mitigation strategies can be integrated into planning documents beyond the mitigation plan. Many communities in the New England have a Town Report or Town Plan that function as their Comprehensive Plan.
•Select a community of your choice and prepare a PowerPoint presentation illustrating how a mitigation strategy and mitigation actions for that community could be included in the Town Plan or Comprehensive Plan.
Make sure to include the areas of land use, transportation, housing, economic development, public facilities and infrastructure, natural resource protection, historic properties and cultural resources.
