1. Research into any invasive/introduced species (plant or animal), anywhere on earth and write about the origins of and/or intentional reasons for their introduction to the new area. What have been the impacts of this species introduction, the scope of the problem? Describe any efforts at controlling or eradicating this "pest". - minimum 1 page

2. The objective of this portion of the assignment is to familiarize yourself with the extent of pollution (chemical, biological, physical or radiological) on a water system of your choice. It may be a well known body of water, such as the Willamette River, Hudson River, Lake Michigan or the Puget Sound, an international body, such as the Dead Sea or Lake Aral or simply any river, lake, bay, sound, sea, stream, pond.. Conduct some research on all the impacts of any form of pollution to which this system and nearby communities, if applicable, have been subject. - minimum 1 page

3. Select an air pollutant in which you may have come into contact that excites your interest (eg., tobacco smoke, vehicle ‘fumes', household chemicals, work or school related exposures, et al). Describe the (a) components of this air pollutant, the (b) form [vapor, gas, aerosol, particle, fume or a combination] in which the pollutant(s) exist during emission and the (c) health effects from exposure. - minimum 1 page.
