Assignment Task : Changing Environment

The future of any organization is influenced by its understanding of economic, social and technological challenges and how they affect the business environment and more particularly the organization. Whether it's emerging markets like China or Brazil impacting production and sales, demographical changes forcing expansion of the product portfolio or changing buyer behavior challenging service models, companies need to adapt to turn threats and challenges into opportunities.

In view of the above statement, discuss what is meant by changing environment, its importance to an organization and the role it plays in today's modern business environment. You are required to select an organization in the private or public sector in Oman and write a report ( maximum 1500 words and minimum of 1200 words) covering the following:

1. A brief introduction about what are the environmental changes and their importance in today's business environment.( This should be supported by relevant academic literature. )

The student is may like to explain whatare the environmental changes, eg what are environmental changes, what are the different types, like general and specific environmental changes, different challenges the managers face to adopt those changes.

The above should be supported by relevant academic literature.

2. A brief introduction of your chosen organization.

The introduction to the organisation should include a brief history and the current business of the organisation

3. A discussion on the environmental changes taken place in the chosen company, what are thosechanges and how those changes are adopted, what challenges the company faced in incorporating them. ( This can be done by gathering information from a company )

The information can be presented on taking the following into consideration

1) General Environmental Factors

2) Specific Environmental Factors

4. Conclusion . (Which will include a summary of the main points)
