Identify your long-term goals.

Where would you like to be one to five years from now? I would like to see myself at the current company I am at one to five years from now, but in a higher position, like Director of my department. Directors in this company require a college degree, so obtaining could facilitate promotions within.

What qualifications do you already possess for this role?

The qualifications I already possess for this role are project management and computer skills necessary to provide production support. New skills and knowledge I will be obtaining with my academic goals are the specialization courses I plan take in the future for Health Care Informatics. I also plan on getting certified in Project Management later this year, mid next year latest. My company is also planning on getting me certified as a Salesforce Administrator in the next couple of months, which is one of the system we utilize and I am currently supporting.

Reflect on your resources.

What barriers do you need to overcome to be successful? The only barrier I currently have is myself. I tend to procrastinate, and find myself putting off til tomorrow what I could do today. This is something I am working on to improve.

Are there individuals in your personal or professional network who can help you? I have a very strong support system in my life, from family to friends, to coworkers. I only need to get of my own way.
