PowerPoint/Movie Maker Project

Topics:

You can choose any of the following topics for your power point presentation.

Select your own topic - subject to instructor's approval (related to technology)

1. Computers / systems in aviation

2. Computers in road services ( System cars , radars , etc... )

3. Computers / systems in e-government

4. Computers / systems in healthcare (new systems)

5. Computers should not replace human intelligence but assist it

6. Computers / systems in weather forecasting

7. Computers / systems in entertainment industry

8. Computers/ systems in sports

9. Computer systems in smart homes.

10. Most recent and newest devices and software that has been created or updated

Requirements:

1. Make a PowerPoint presentation file using one of the topics above.

a. Include in your slides (Title, Agenda, Definition, Charts/stats, Examples, Movie, Citation and references)

b. Use bullet points and short sentences versus lots of text

c. Use high quality/resolution images

d. Maximize space usage on your slides

e. Use transitions and animation

f. Use appropriate and accurate stats

g. Use appropriate color schemes specially for your font and background contrast

h. Be creative

2. In one of your slides use a video clip made /edited by you using Microsoft Movie Maker software or any other movie editing software. This video should be not more than 3-4 minutes only. Your video clip should be directly related to the presentation topic. The video can cover user interviews, survey, and technology infrastructure or product demo. You can use a video camcorder or your smartphone video capability to make the video clip; it should be have an introduction a body and an end. It should include one video that merge at least 3 to many videos together.

3. Research your topic and reference your research.

4. Submit your presentation files (both movie file and the PPT file) in class

5. Present your PowerPoint in class.
