Enterprise systems are the overall combination of computer hardware and software that a business uses to organize and run its operations. For example, an integrated enterprise system will generally handle more than one operation for a company to facilitate its business and management reporting needs. This video explains how CEO's believe that technology has become the most important external factor impacting organization and driving change. It has become vital to generating new business value, delivering new service, and capturing new markets. One of the systems that is available to all employees and managers is a Email client called "First Class" that we use to communicate with our manager and email various departments. We also have our instant message, and live chat options that gives us the real time access to chat with employees and managers in different departments and get a response. Another system called POS (Point of sale) system that keeps track of customers purchase receipt, order details, and information on previous rentals. We have recently upgraded one of the applications that we use to allow our customers to make payments on storage units using their checking account. This feature has not only provided good feedback but also provided new service available to customers.
