What do you think is the motivation behind this trend? Is it social responsibility or a response to consumer demands? One step further is brain to computer interface (BC I), which involves implanting electrodes directly into the human brain to restore lost functionality or to facilitate the communication ability of severely disabled individuals, such as by enabling them to control a mouse using only their thoughts. What do you think about these implantable chip applications? Are the benefits worth the risk of something going wrong with the chips in planted inside your body? Are there any privacy risks?
