select a story from a newspaper or magazine that you think illustrate the sociological imagination. the story must include elements of culture or aspect of socialization

1-explain how the story you selected illustrate the sociological imagination. in other words how history and biography intersect? what is the public issue? what is the private trouble?

2-identify three class concepts pertinent to the story. explain the relevance of each of the concepts to the story.

3-if the story contain data, assess the quality of the data and discuss additional data that would provide a more comprehensive understanding of the issue. if the story doesn't contain data, locate statistics that shed light on the issue and discuss additional data that would provide a more comprehensive understanding of what issue .

4-assess the relevance of at least one theoretical perspective to the story you selected.

5-discuss the extent to which the story reflects ethnocentrism or cultural relatively consider whether telling the story from a different point of view, from different starting point, or concluding with a different ending could impact the degree to which the story reflects cultural relatively.
