Task 1:
Evaluating the diagnostic role of special stains
- Select one of your images of stained tissue from the practical sessions at the start of the course
- Annotate to highlight the differentially stained structural and cellular components - include details how each component is selectively stained
- Evaluate the quality of your staining and provide suggestions for optimisation
Task 2:
For your chosen tissue/stain :
- Discuss the typical structural and cellular alterations that would be apparent if a malignant tumour was present
- Discuss the value of this stain in the diagnosis and staging of this malignancy
