How is one of the readings from this week "powerful?" (Influential, Persuasive, Strong, Effective, etc...) What does the writer "do" to make his or her writing powerful? Does he or she use ethos (appeal to ethics)? Pathos (appeal to emotion)? Logos (appeal to logic)? Does the writer use effective diction (word choice)? Is the style effective? Does the author use subtext? Refutation? What is it about the piece that makes it "powerful?" Look at the "how" in the author's text.

Note: You may choose to focus on one or more texts from our readings. It's up to you.
