Peter Pothead decides he wants to be a caregiver to medical marijuana patients. The day he graduates from high school, he forms a corporation called “Higher than a Kite, Inc.” and begins growing marijuana plants for medical marijuana patients. His sister, Puffy, smokes a lot of marijuana for the fun of it and has been growing plants secretly in her parent’s garage loft since she was nine years old. Peter knows Puffy, who is now a college drop out, has a green thumb when it comes to weed growing. He hires her to tend to his plants. All is going well and Peter and Puffy are rolling in the dough. The bank accounts for “Higher than a Kite, Inc.” has $200,000.The bank manager is amazed at the company’s success because Peter told him he makes and sells handcrafted kites. Then, one rainy night, the FBI and Michigan State Troopers raid the pole barn where the plants are growing.

Answer the following:

A) Can Peter get out of trouble with the FBI if he was growing the allowable number of plants as a caregiver under Michigan law?
