Per our readings we discovered there are various types of strategic leadership strategies some types include: Autocratic, Democratic, and Laissez Faire. These types can be utilized when managing employees within an organization. Please read the examples below and decide which type of leadership strategy is applicable from the choices above. Example 1:

Pop Sickle has worked at Ben & Jerry’s Holdings Inc. since it was founded in 1978. Even though Pops can handle anything that comes his way, he continuously passed up the chance to be a manager because he doesn’t want the responsibility. Everyone else is out sick today so you and Pops are the only ones able to cover the store you both have been assigned to during the Valentine’s Day rush. What leadership strategy will you use? Why?

Example 2:

Randy Rancid is doing a rotten job. He’s jammed the punch press machine for the fifth time this week. The other employees are not amused. Randy has been with the company for three years and was hoping to get the manager’s position that was just posted. Randy has a new idea for improving the safety features in the factory. What leadership strategy will you use with Randy? Why?
