Thinking like a leader according to the video emphasizes the need to place individuals in the situations to which they are best suited. Most leaders provide followers with a sense of direction, values, and recognition, and in return receive esteem and responsiveness.

leadership values the input of team members and peers, but the responsibility of making the final decision rests with the participative leader.

Participative leadership boosts employee morale because employees make contributions to the decision-making process. It causes them to feel as if their opinions matter.

leaders communicate clearly. Quality verbal and written communication skills allow leaders to present expectations to team members in some way workers can understand. Effective communication skills also allow team leaders to listen to the input of others.

Identify and evaluate a leader who displays exemplary leadership skills. How does this leader think? Why did you choose this leader?

Martin Luther King Jr. who was the most conspicuous and eloquent leader. His leadership style is deeply rooted in speeches, television, his style of leadership is very encouraging to others. I found out that the most important thing when thinking like a leader I believe that they must:

1. Influence is when a leader serves as a role model who not only walks the walk but also walks the talk. And he's greatly admired because of this.

2. Inspirational motivation refers to a leader's ability to motivate and inspire his followers. Combined with idealized influence, inspirational motivation constitutes charisma.

3. Individualized consideration is when a leader shows genuine concern for the needs and feeling of his followers by giving them personal attention.

4. Intellectual stimulation involves challenging followers to be creative and innovative, constantly pushing them to reach higher levels of performance.

Martin Luther King leadership style also help in many ways, he used a concrete powerful vision. Also, courage even in the face of threats and real danger, master in the arts of communication and the abilities and openly acknowledgedleadership treats when dealing with the now.

I believe that we should all dim stategood leadership skills leader, a leader needs to be placed in a favorable situation that is in alignment with his or her skills. Some are born with it and other develop it though out the course of their career. But, leader must lead by example just like Martin Luther King.

In your opinion, what makes this leader successful?

In my opinion what make a leader successful when he or she can in part what they learn into their employees or into other around them.

For example, working with the in leadership I found out that the hard way that when leading employees, or children one must lead by example.

I can't tell them to do something and do something else, holding them responsible for not doing what was ask of them but doing the same thing and not expecting for me to not be held accountable. This is not a good example. Leader should be respectable, communication, encourage, train, have an open-door policy and hold employees responsible for their job.
