Part A:

NOTE: Saying "art is in the eye of beholder" may be true from the beholder's perspective. However, how would an artist define what they are making? Does art involve skill or craft? Beauty? Emotion? Taste? Materiality? Consider the ideas discussed in your readings, and go farther: Can animals or trees or the insane create art, or just rational humans? What is NOT art?
2. Then, tell us why you chose this definition. Be detailed, and give examples to back up your experience of art that helps us understand your definition.
