PART A - Employability Career Skills Audit

During the semester you have started to develop skills that employers will be looking for in their employees. What three employability/career skills have you started to develop as a result of having completed this unit.

PART B - Evidence of developing 1 of the skills discussed above (Use DIEP writing format: What, Why, Feelings about the learning and how you Plan to use it in the future) Employers are not only looking for prospective employees who say they have the skills in communication, problem solving, teamwork etc. they are going to want to see evidence that you have developed these skills.

As part of your building of a career portfolio it is important that you start to document evidence of what you have learnt and how you have developed the skills that will make you attractive as a prospective employee.

Using the DIEP format discuss and provide examples as evidence on how you have developed one of the skills you have listed in Part A.

As an example; Teamwork - Ask yourself the questions:

• What strategies did I use to be a productive team member?

• What strategies did I use to deal with conflicting viewpoints within the team? (Use theory to support your reflection)

• How much information, analysis and interpretation did I provide to the team?

• Did I communicate my ideas even if they conflicted with someone else's?

• Did I meet the deadlines?

• Did I facilitate the decision-making process? or did I just go with the flow?

• What have I learnt from the teamwork experience? YOU MUST

• use theory to support the learning you have described and evaluated in your reflection

• include a minimum of 4 Referencesry

• use the Harvard Style of citations and References

• include your Peer Review form "If you do not include any references in your reflection, your work will be marked as a fail.
