Part 1
Create a 20question quiz that covers chapters 5 (Culture) and 8 (Assessment). There should be 10 questions from each chapter.
The quiz should include 12 multiple choice questions, 6 true/false and 2 short answer questions, You do not need to respond the the short answer questions, but you must provide an answer key for the multiple choice and true/false items.
Below I have listed some tips on creating effective test questions.
- Only include information on the test was covered in the text and/or class discussions.
- Focus on main points rather than isolated, less-important bits of information.
- Provide clear, explicit directions.
- Test information as it was presented. Provide an example question.
- No "trick" questions.
- Mix-up question order and don't give answers to one question from another.
- Mix more- and less-challenging questions.
- Discourage cheating.
- Make multiple choice responses similar.
- Create a variety of multiple choice question types.
- Limit the number of questions containing "none-of-the-above" responses.
- Consider the value of adding a bonus question.
