National Drilling Company ships it's merely pump to American Hydraulics Corporation the manufacturer for repair. National appoints Overland Transport, Inc., to take the drive to American Hydraulics as well as to return it to National as soon as the repair is complete. National is forced to swing operations without a pump however Overland does not know this. National imagines to be without the pump for five days as well as to lose profits of $5,000. When the pump isn't returned by the end of the fifth day, National rentals a pump at a cost of $100 per day.

Overland delays five more days earlier returning the pump. National files a suit against Overland enquiring for compensatory, consequential as well as punitive damages. Will National recover?
