Online Students:

In 1947 a young Palestinian shepherd boy was carrying for his sheep. When he came to a place called Qumran, he noticed a number of caves, and like any other young boy, he picked up some stones and began throwing them towards the caves. Soon he heard a âclankâ and immediately recognized that something was in that cave besides mud. He climbed into the cave and found a number of jars containing scrolls, though he was unaware of what the scrolls said. From that day on, scholars have been examining those scrolls to determine their value to understanding the Bible more thoroughly. And as they examined the date of these scrolls, they were amazed as to how far back they date. Some of those same scholars began to change their minds about the Scripturesâ accuracy, while others attempted to make the facts conform to their pre-conceived ideas.
