One of the “founding fathers” of experimental social psychology, Kurt Lewin (1939), produced a theory rooted in Gestalt ideology (coherent whole guided by “law” of individuation instead of reality) offering that their environment influences an individual’s behavior. He developed the Unfreeze, change, refreeze process that underscores necessary processes of change.

Although the literature and countless of theories and study focus on general characteristics (e.g., knowledge, skill, and psychological traits), very little, if any attention has been directed towards leader-employee relationships, and the nurturing of the work environment that will impact the behavior of the employee at every level, especially when change is considered. The author suggests that an organization desire to capitalize on relationship (a union between leader-employee that fosters positive attribute), passion (enthusiasm for job task) and value (perceived standard of the employee) is almost non-existing.
