On the three stories, they have different ideas or prejudices about general things and base on their culture and values. For instance, the three stories explain the situation about family members getting marry and how boys and girls from distinct background culture has follow "unnormal" norms. For instance, "The Histories Mid-Fifth Century B.C. E" fathers show their son to ride horses, speaking the truth, and shooting sorrow but they must be five years old and meanwhile they spend time with their mother (p.139). On the other hand, for Egyptians son has the option to care for their dad where daughter is a mandatory (p.139). In, "Tacitus Germania Frist Century B.C.E" women sex is seemed to believe to be purity and knowledgeable (p.142). Finally, "Records of the Grand Historian ca. 100 B.C.E" when the father dies and they're marry the must marry their stepmother and if the brother dies the brother marry the widows (p.144). I believe is strange how individuals think is ok to marry someone that is part of their family and have no regret on doing the action. The authors did notice the same features of these societies because on every story the author state similar feature to other stories as for example they have a visual of how should females and males act within their culture. I consider my culture to be "normal" but for other people would probably think is odd yet my culture believes on god and is important to keep in mind everyone is free to believe on anything they want but other two stories they did not talk about their beliefs. I did notice the authors from the three stories focus more on the exotic interesting facts then finding similarities and differences between the outsides and inside of their society. Only in one occasion they mention their family members marriages and after that they keep going back to the topic of marriages. In particular, on the story, "The Historians Mid- Fifth Century B.C.E" states how they do not have images of god, temples, or altars for their god compare to others stories they do not illustrate anything about god/s. The authors of the three stories did their own observation with a fundamental of knowledge but on the same time they have did on their own culture. After all, we live in multicultural world and we respect everyone ideas and their view point and no culture is perfect.
